J26 Journal launches Issue 001: The Changing Dancefloor

J26 Productions Ltd is proud to launch the first issue of J26 Journal, a new independent publication exploring electronic music culture through the people, places, machines and decisions that give it meaning.

The Changing Dancefloor follows the journey from the room before the feed to the next wave of creative technology. Across 60 carefully designed pages, Issue 001 moves through Liverpool after dark, landmark instruments including the Korg M1 and Yamaha DX7, the changing architecture of the festival field and the patient reality of independent studio practice.

The magazine asks a simple question: how do we use new tools without allowing them to decide what culture is for? Its answer begins with attention—listening longer, crediting properly, protecting the room and remembering that the crowd is not scenery.

Issue 001 is available as a free digital edition from j26journal.com.
